Community Classes

What to Expect in Our Classroom

  • It’s All About the Process: While many art programs focus on technical mastery or the final product, our classes are designed around the idea that the process is where the magic happens. It’s not about creating a perfect painting or piece of writing—it’s about what you learn, feel, and experience as you’re creating.

  • Social Emotional Arts Certified: With training in Social Emotional Arts, I integrate mental health and emotional well-being into the creative process. My classes aren’t just about making art but an opportunity to connect with yourself and others, reflect, and grow.

  • A Welcoming, Non-Judgmental Space: We all need a place to show up as our authentic selves. Here, you’re encouraged to explore, play, and reflect in a supportive, inclusive environment where diversity and inclusion are celebrated.

  • Affordable and Accessible: High-priced art therapy sessions can be a barrier for many, but I offer competitively priced drop-in art classes that provide a meaningful, process-driven experience. Everyone is welcome here, regardless of skill level, background, or financial standing. Scholarships are available! Contact us to apply.

Emotional Care
Kit Workshop

Life can feel overwhelming, but you don’t have to face tough moments unprepared. In this 2-hour creative workshop, you’ll build your own Emotional Care Kit—a personalized box filled with tools to soothe your heart and mind during challenging times. Using art supplies, affirmations, favorite quotes, and self-care ideas, you’ll design a kit that reflects your unique needs and comforts.

In partnership with The Vervain Collective, this class also includes guidance on incorporating calming herbs, oils, and tinctures into your kit. No artistic experience is needed—just a willingness to explore, create, and connect. Leave feeling supported, inspired, and equipped with your very own portable source of calm for when you need it most.

Spaces are limited, so register today to reserve your spot! Bring a friend or family member that you know needs a helpful care kit! Together, we’ll create tools to help you face life’s challenges with more ease and compassion.

Creative Connections:
Conversations and Collage

Creative Connections is a guided experience designed to help you slow down, reflect, and express yourself—through conversation, journaling, and collage.

Each session begins with thought-provoking prompts from a game created by a therapist, inviting meaningful conversations that unfold naturally. From there, you’ll have time to journal, process, and translate your thoughts into a personal collage—using magazines, colorful paper, stickers, and markers to bring your story to life. There’s no pressure to make a “perfect” piece of art—just space to create freely, explore new perspectives, and share in a way that feels right for you.

No prior artistic experience is needed—just bring your willingness to explore and connect.

You are welcome to attend more than once as the content we discover and create will be new each time!

Participants will be guided to tune into their emotional knowledge using a variety of art supplies, focusing on the process of exploration rather than the finished product. The intent is to provide a safe space that is lighthearted and fun in addition to allowing attendees an opportunity for connection and collaboration.

The concepts presented in this class can be used in a wide variety of creative pursuits, both in the arts as well as in daily life. By gathering in a small group setting to discuss and create, we will learn to see each other’s experiences with empathy and begin to form a more cohesive and supportive community.
